In Key West today with the Carnival Sunshine

April 29, 2014

Wow. I can’t believe that Marty and I have been back to Key West (the birthplace of Brittany Lara) 3 times this year!

Key West is full of history and culture!

Some quick thoughts about the Carnival Sunshine.

At first it can be difficult to find your way around, so take some time to learn the way!

Guy’s Burgers is great. Get there early to beat the long lines.

Cruise Director Jamie is all that and a bag of chips.

She’s incredible.

Marty and I will be dining in Fahrenheit 555 tomorrow night. I’m really looking forward to a great steak!

Stay tuned!

The Radisson Resort at the Port

April 27, 2014

It’s Sunday, April 27th.

Marty and I are about to head down to the restaurant for breakfast!

We drove from Jacksonville over to Orlando yesterday to see our daughter Brittany. After having an early dinner, we drove about an hour east to the Radisson.

We stayed at the Radisson back in Nov before our Carnival Dream cruise.

The Radisson is the “total package.”

Clean spacious rooms, incredible “resort” atmosphere with an awesome swimming pool, a second to none breakfast and most importantly, lightning speed wifi internet.

If you are sailing from Port Canaveral, be sure to stay at the Radisson Resort at the Port.

Here’s the link:

You will thank me for it.

Tell the front desk Scott Lara sent you!

Stay tuned for updates from the Carnival Sunshine!

Well, you say it, I play it (A little DJ lingo there), so click on the link below for the recipe!

Next stop, Carnival Sunshine on Sunday.

Stay tuned.

Thoughts on my 14 day Southern Caribbean Cruise on the MS Maasdam

April 17, 2014

2 years ago, Marty and I sailed on the 14 day Southern Caribbean cruise on the Maasdam.

It was incredible.

This year I went with my friends Dwight and Connie Cenac, their son Rocky and two friends from Paris, Texas.

The weather was great, the food was incredible and the ports of call were perfect!

The ports of call included St Thomas, St Barts, St Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Bonaire, Curacao (my favorite), and Holland America’s award winning private island, Half Moon Cay!

I was a finalist in the Dancing with the Stars competition!

Marty and I plan on making this an annual event, so for more details about the cruise, shoot me an email at

I would be happy to book it for you!

You can check out my YouTube videos from the cruise at the link to the right.
